Walking Waiver
Walking waivers are designed to help families who live close enough to campus that their student can walk home or ride their bike home from school. The walking waiver is not intended for students to walk to the corner of campus and hang out in front of the school sign or along the green grass areas.
All students who will be walking or biking off campus without adult supervision must have a signed and submitted Walking Waiver on file, in the School Office. Walking Waivers are not permitted for students in the preschool and are highly discouraged for students below the 4th grade unless accompanied by an older sibling.
Submitting the Walking Waiver Form gives your permission, as the parent, for your child to walk or bike off school campus* without adult supervision, after school hours. This waiver does not grant permission for students to leave campus unaccompanied by an adult during scheduled school hours. A new walking waiver must be completed each year to be valid.
*The grass corner of Old Bridge and Calle La Primavera is considered part of the school campus. Parents should not pick up their student(s) at the corner. Please used designated pick up areas.
If you are granting your child permission to walk or ride off campus, please talk to them about appropriate and safe behavior that is expected when being granted a Walking Waiver. Thank you for helping to keep all our students safe, and our neighbors happy.
All students who are not picked up from school by a parent/guardian must have a signed Walking Waiver on file in the School Office.
- A staff or volunteer will be stationed near the exit of the school to verify any student attempting to walk off campus has a waiver on file.
- Students with Walking Waivers are expected to show their most recent school ID to the adult stationed near the exit.
- Students attempting to walk off campus without adult supervision and who do not have a Walking Waiver on file will be sent back to the school office.
